Taking your little one to a new group for the very first time can feel like a bit of a mission, can’t it? Wondering how they’ll react to the environment, whether they’ll want to touch anything, or if they’ll have a complete meltdown five minutes in… we get it!

That’s why seeing new faces walk through our doors gives us the biggest smile. Every single week, we welcome first-time families into MessyBeanz, and we love watching those initial nervous steps turn into big grins, messy hands, and happy play.

If you’ve been thinking about coming along but haven't made the jump yet, here is what you can expect when you join us for the first time:

A Zero-Pressure, Non-Judgmental Space At MessyBeanz, there is no "right" way to play. Whether your child jumps straight into the trays with both hands, spends the first twenty minutes observing from the edge, or decides they only want to touch one specific texture the whole time—that is 100% okay! Every child processes sensory information at their own pace. We are fully inclusive and proud to support neurodivergent children and SEN sensory needs, meaning you can completely relax knowing your child is free to just be themselves.

Sensory Exploration Built Around Them We design our trays so that every single child can find a comfortable entry point. From dry, soothing textures like oats and rice for those who take things slow, to squishy playdough and crunchy cereals for big sensory seekers, there is always something that feels safe and exciting for your little one to explore.

A Lovely Community for Parents Too! Messy play sessions aren't just for the kids—they're a chance for you to sit back, connect with other local parents, share a laugh over how much cereal is currently stuck to your socks, and leave the cleanup to us! (Because let’s be honest, the best part of messy play at MessyBeanz is that none of it happens on your living room rug!)
