Weather-Themed Week at Our Stay and Play Group

At our MessyBeanz Stay and Play sessions, we are passionate about providing exciting, inclusive activities that promote development for all children. This week, we celebrated all things weather with a variety of engaging activities designed to stimulate sensory exploration and fine motor skills development!

Thunder-Themed Pasta Play

Our thunder-themed pasta play was a huge hit with children of all ages and abilities! Using dyed pasta and sound effects, children were encouraged to explore textures and sounds, promoting sensory development and imaginative play. Sensory play like this is essential for young children, as it supports cognitive growth, problem-solving skills, and language development.

Decorating Rainbow Pictures

Creative play is a cornerstone of our sessions. During our rainbow decorating activity, children used a variety of materials such as paint, cotton buds and pens to create their own rainbow masterpieces. This fun-filled task was designed to enhance fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity. Fine motor development is crucial for skills such as writing, dressing, and feeding, and we pride ourselves on providing activities that benefit every child.

Sunshine Pasta Play

Continuing our pasta adventures, the sunshine-themed pasta play tray provided vibrant, tactile fun. Bright yellow pasta encouraged children to engage in sensory exploration, boosting tactile awareness and manipulative skills. Activities like this one promote self-confidence and social interaction, especially beneficial for children in disability support groups who may need extra encouragement in group settings.

Polar Express Snow Tray

Our magical Polar Express snow tray was an icy sensory delight! Using fluffy, snowy textures, children could drive trains through the 'snow', mark make, scoop, and create their own winter wonderlands. Sensory trays like these are excellent for developing fine motor control, imaginative thinking, and emotional regulation.

At our Warwick Stay and Play sessions, we are committed to providing a warm, welcoming environment for all children. Our carefully planned activities not only offer fantastic fun but also support essential developmental milestones.
